Zuni Pueblo "Pasture"

With all the Social Justice issues swirling about, there's a lot of romanticization of Native Americans' former ability to live sustainably. Things have changed; like most people they drive pickups, eat fast food, and judging by the look of the lands surrounding the Pueblo, they know all about overgrazing.




 

Just up the way, this carcass lies less than a few hundred feet from the road. You can see how little forage there is...identical to conditions in the above video.
